FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Meals Carefully prepared menus, which suit each individual with various requirements like weight reducing, vegetarian, diabetic, high fiber, or ethnic choices etc. Choice of menu is done by the service users.

Care Staff Service users are given special attention at all time through well trained care staffs.

An Optician and Dentist. The optician visits the home annually and dental services are available as required within the local community hospital.

Physicians Regular visits by an optician and availability of dental services in the same locality makes the care home more comfortable. This also includes visiting Chiropodist if required. Physiotherapy can be arranged if necessary

Chiropody a private chiropodist visits the Home as required is charged for separately.

HairdressingBased on appointments, service users can make use of the local hair dresser or can bring them to the care home.

Personal Telephones There is a telephone in the hallway which service users can use if they wish, staff will, if required, assist service users in the making of telephone calls, there is a telephone in the office if a service user wishes to talk in privacy.

Administration Support The Home Manager and/or other staff (i.e. Key Worker) will assist service users with any administration support that they require i.e. writing letters, completing forms, budgeting etc

Benefits Advice can be provided via the Manager or the Proprietors.

Shopping Where appropriate we encourage service users to go shopping with a staff member. Where this is difficult staff can assist Residents by purchasing goods on their behalf.

Laundry is undertaken within the Home within the normal fees for service, this includes facilities (including support as required) for service users to do their own washing.
The laundry equipment achieves the Care Standards and the 1998 Water Regulations.

Dry Cleaning can be provided at cost and can be arranged through care staff.

Kitchen Facilities are built to the standards laid down by the Environmental Health Department. These facilities are accessible to service users following the production of risk assessments. Service users can avail themselves of drinks and snacks at most times by requesting these from care staff or, where appropriate, making their own, with supervision or assistance as required.
